What Is Your #1 Asset?

Imagine a life with abundant energy and low stress. Imagine living that life free of medical debt, without dependency on medication, and without the burden of disease or pain. Imagine the enjoyment of retirement, travel, the beach, and time spent with friends and family. Imagine a life that produces these riches and one that lives up to your God-given potential.

Do you want this life? Do you deserve this life? Most importantly, do you believe you are capable and worthy of living this type of life?

Let’s talk about the fact that no matter what you are dealing with now or what you dealt with in the past, you are destined to live this type of life! You were created to live the life of your dreams and to fulfill your purpose during the short time you have on planet Earth.

To define your purpose and live out the life you desire, we must first answer the question: What is your greatest asset? What is the one thing that you need to accomplish all of the dreams and goals that you have for this life?

Health!

While we mourn the unfortunate passing of longtime ESPN analyst Stuart Scott at the age of 49 years young, it becomes apparent that one’s Health is the most valuable asset. It has been said that without your health, you have nothing! Money can buy a lot of things, but your health is not one of them.

How do we determine if we are Healthy?

It is important to note that while most people will acknowledge that health is their most valuable asset, the definition of health and our perception of how we determine health has been flawed.

It is safe to say that if we were to ask the American people to provide their definition of health and also to describe what basis they utilize to gauge their current state of health, the following answers would top the list:

  • Health is looking and feeling good.
  • Health is exercising and eating right.

The problem with basing our health on how we look and feel is that we then are all considered healthy until we look or feel bad. As Americans, we have adopted the “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it” mentality with our most important asset. We have become a reactive society and instead of taking care of our health on a daily basis, we are content with waiting until sickness and disease has ravaged our bodies.

A word of caution: If you continue to hold onto this definition of health for you and your loved ones, you will miss the top three killers in America today! Stay tuned as we will uncover what these three killers look like and how you can avoid becoming a statistic.
